avita.salon

The operating system for the beauty economy.

Not a booking tool. The common infrastructure a salon runs on — booking, POS, payments, clients, marketing and payroll — replacing the fragmented stack of Boulevard, Mindbody, Klaviyo and a spreadsheet with a single AI-native system. Built by the company that runs the salons it was designed for.

$0Platform fee, forever

6Named AI agents
01 — The Model Free platform, aligned incentives

We only earn
when the salon does.

The platform
Free

No monthly subscription. No per-seat fees. No per-location fees. No setup fees. Ever. Every salon gets the whole product on day one — the barrier to entry is zero by design.

Transaction fee
3%

Of the GMV processed through Avita — services, retail, packages, memberships, gift cards and deposits. Payment processing is absorbed inside it. Tips, taxes, refunds and recorded cash are never charged.

AI credits
Pay as you go

A prepaid wallet, priced per action and burned on use. Turn the agents on for a busy month and off for a quiet one. Optional support tiers sit alongside, never in front of the product.

Why 3%
A clean number that includes payment processing. Above Square's 2.9% floor, far below what a financial advisor charges — with room for AI upsell without ever forcing it.
Cash stays free
Salons record cash for full visibility and the agents' insights — and are not charged for it. We don't fight owners over cash; card payments simply become the smoother path.
Migration
A migration tool brings clients, history and appointments across from an existing platform, so switching isn't a reason to stay stuck.
02 — Avita AI Each one a specialist the industry couldn't afford

Six named
agents.

All AI is owned by one of six agents. Each has a clear domain, a versioned prompt library, its own tool access and success metrics. They share state over an event bus, and every run is logged with its tokens, cost and outcome — so the salon can see exactly what the AI did and what it cost. One agent triggering another is a first-class pattern, not an afterthought.

AriaInboundVoice, SMS, Instagram DM and Google Business Messages. Books, reschedules, and knows the client by name.
SageOperationsDaily reports, operational decisions, and the anomaly nobody had time to notice.
LumenRevenueAttach rates, upsell suggestions and dynamic pricing grounded in the salon's own history.
ScoutRetentionChurn prediction, win-back timing and the loyalty mechanics behind them.
EchoOutboundCampaigns, social posting and review generation — the marketing that usually never gets done.
PulseAnalyticsDashboards plus natural-language questions answered against real data.
03 — The Product One system, four surfaces

What it
replaces.

Booking & front desk

A real-time front desk with Kanban and live updates — drag-and-drop rescheduling, not a page refresh. Online booking widget, deposits, waitlists and no-show protection.

POS & payments

Checkout, tips, retail, packages, memberships and gift cards on one ledger, with Stripe Connect underneath and Terminal readers when a salon wants hardware.

Clients & portfolios

Records, formulas, photos, consent and visit history — owned by the salon, shared across the ecosystem only with the client's consent. Stylists see what they need and nothing more.

Marketing automation

Campaigns, review generation and social scheduling handled by Echo, so the salon stops paying for a separate email platform it never quite configured.

Four surfaces

A web dashboard, a client mobile app with loyalty and messaging, a stylist app, and a tablet kiosk for check-in, tips and consent — all against the same data.

ChairBnD integration

Empty chairs list themselves to the rental marketplace; freelance stylists rent them. Salons on Avita get preferential rates — the network effect a standalone booking tool can't build.

04 — Engineering Multi-tenant from the first migration

Built like infrastructure.

Tenancy
Postgres with row-level security in a hybrid model — tenant isolation enforced in the database, not hoped for in application code.
Stack
TypeScript monorepo · Next.js dashboard · React Native apps · Prisma schema · Redis · Stripe Connect
Auth
Staff JWT with refresh rotation and a 90-day absolute cap · argon2id passwords · TOTP two-factor with backup codes · client OTP sign-in · cross-surface token isolation
Permissions
Permission-group-driven RBAC with a separate super-admin surface, plus Redis-backed rate limiting on every endpoint.
Agent runtime
Claude behind every agent, an event bus for shared state, and an AgentRun row per execution recording tokens in and out, cost and outcome.
Targets
Every interaction under 200 ms. 99.9% uptime — a salon cannot afford downtime at 9am on a Saturday.
05 — Who it's for

Independent salons,
first.

1–5 chairs, US market

The primary customer. A free platform means an independent owner can run the same system a ten-location chain does, and the AI makes a team of two operate like a team of ten.

Small chains & enterprise

Two to ten locations on the same tenancy model, with an enterprise tier for larger groups that need custom terms rather than a different product.

Freelance stylists via ChairBnD

A stylist without a salon can still work — renting chairs through the marketplace, carrying a portable identity and client relationship that isn't locked to one location.

The honest position

avita.salon is in active development, not general availability. It runs first inside our own Orange County salons — which is exactly why it's being built the way it is.

Run a salon like it's 2026.

By year five, running a salon without Avita should feel like running a store without Shopify. If you own a salon, invest in the category, or want the studio to build something like this for you — start here.
